World Plumbing Day Poster Contest Winners Announced

World Plumbing Day is celebrated every year on March 11th. This is a day we ask our members to take the time and recognize the critical role their company, employees and the entire plumbing supply chain serves in protecting public health, safety, and the environment. We should never forget the impact we have on our society and never miss an opportunity to give ourselves a pat on the back.
 

One of the ways ASA celebrates World Plumbing Day is to hold a children’s poster contest. The contestants are children of ASA member company employees and member company customers. The contest runs through the month of March and the children participating are in the 1st through 6th grade levels. Children are asked to be creative by creating a poster based on the theme “Plumbing is Essential”.
 

This year we received 20 submittals and all of them were excellent representations of the theme, and we are appreciative of all the children who participated. The posters will be displayed at ASA NETWORK being held in Chicago, IL from November 13 – 15, 2024.
 

Winners of the contest are selected from grade levels 1st through 3rd and 4th through 6th grades. Winners receive a financial prize for themselves and the school they attend. This year’s poster contest winners are:
 

K-3 Winners:

1^st Place: Jaxson Otradovec, First Supply 
2^nd Place: Palmer Elkin, Pittman Supply Company
3^rd Place: Harrison Viviani, First Supply

4-6 Winners: 

1^st Place: Leah Harris, Consolidated Supply
2^nd Place: Isla Morgan, A.O. Smith
3^rd Place: Sadie Rogge, Prier Products

All posters submitted to ASA are also entered into the international World Plumbing Day Poster Contest which is managed by the International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation (IWSH).  Winners of the international contest also receive financial awards for themselves and their school.  We are proud to announce that the follow ASA contestants won at the international level:
