Innovation Summit 2024: The Future with AI by Jeremy Gutsche

Artificial intelligence has been at the forefront of many an innovation + digital conversation since OpenAI’s ChatGPT made AI the hot topic of 2023.  Artificial Intelligence, the field of computer science that combines hardware and software to perform tasks that imitate human intelligence, has had a supporting role in digital innovation for decades.  AI includes a wide range of tools and technologies like machine learning, large language models, natural language processing, computer vision, and image/shape or pattern recognition that we as consumers have interacted with daily in recent years.  For example, recommendation engines: people who liked that also listen to this or adaptive cruise control / self-driving cars or Google Translate or credit card fraud detection algorithms.  These tools, utilized for targeted purposes, often require specialized technologists, processes and powerful hardware to bring them to bear on business problems.

But since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, something feels different.  Generative AI, a form of machine learning (algorithms on top of very large training data sets) can currently synthesize text as well as other data types including images, video, and software code.  Innovative organizations are digging in to understand how and where to apply GenAI to use cases that positively impact productivity.  Further, committed innovators are evolving their sales practices, customer experience and business models to reduce boundaries, diversify into adjacent markets and develop new offerings to access sources of growth and renewal.

Trend Hunter, AI futurist, and ASA Innovation Summit speaker, Jeremy Gutsche says, “This is the year AI changes you”. We’re at an inflection point with AI, Jeremy says, with both risk and opportunity in equal measure. Amidst this disruption, he shows us how to lean into the chaos rather than run from it, adapt faster than our competitors, and emerge as more powerful, AI-enabled versions of ourselves.

Generative AI has spawned an incredible disruption.  As the CEO of Trend Hunter, Jeremy has firsthand experience spearheading an AI strategy for his own business as well as leading his team through change.  Jeremy draws on his unique experience to show you how to help your company take advantage of this inflection point and accelerate your strategy. “The more you know about AI, the more that you’ll want,” he says. “The starting point is buy-in. People start off not getting it, but then they start to get it—and then they want AI, want more AI, and then want more from AI.”  A visionary yet grounded speaker, he is conversant in practical tools his own team has been using to become more creative and productive and can help you develop an action plan for your organization.

With a focus on our industry, Jeremy will lead attendees through a high-impact, high-intensity, scenario-planning workshop prototype scenarios of their future.  Jeremy helps audiences not only understand what they need to do today to be competitive, but also gets you excited about opportunities that are available in the future of AI.   Join us at ASA Innovation Summit in September 25-26, 2024 in Rosemont, IL to hear Jeremy speak as well as participate in a his scenario planning workshop.
