MDM Curriculum

MDM CURRICULUM

                                            
   The course curriculum follows the 5 Phase Program
   approach and gives candidates, employers and
   mentors the ability to manage course work – both
   required and electives – based on the demands of
   work schedules.  


THE 5 PHASE PROGRAM



PHASE 1

  • E-Learning available online at ASA University with 24-7-365 access
  • Required Reading with Brief Assessments
  • Keep a journal to document what you have learned

PHASE 2

  • Attend the University of Innovative Distribution (UID)
  • Takes place every March for 4 Days with Registration beginning in October 
  • The UID program  offers a superior educational program that is laser-focused on the unique needs of industrial wholesale distribution

PHASE 3

  • Focus on the essentials that you need to lead a more profitable business
  • Choose the business books that will lead you in the right direction
  • The Elective Courses and Readings are completely customized by you

PHASE 4

  • Register for the Final Assessment, a 100-question final exam
  • Test focused on eLearning requirements learned in Phase 1 
  • Passing the test (85% or better) is a prerequisite for moving on to the final component, the Capstone Project

PHASE 5

  • Within six months you will be asked to present a Capstone Project 
  • A written thesis using the framework of the B.A.R. Template (Background, Action, Result) presented in-person to the Graduate Review Committee is also required
  • Demonstrate your understanding and ABILITY as a successful Distribution Manager
