Tuesday, April 21, 2026 / News Coburn Supply’s Christy Maloney Named 2026 Alice A. Martin Woman Of The Year Christy Maloney’s career reflects a steady progression through leadership roles, a commitment to professional development, and a consistent focus on supporting others in the PHCP-PVF industry. That combination has earned her the American Supply Association’s 2026 Alice A. Martin Woman of the Year Award. The honor recognizes individuals who have made a meaningful impact on the industry while advancing opportunities for women across the channel. Maloney, vice president at Coburn Supply, embodies both. Her professional foundation began outside the PHCP-PVF space, in commercial banking. As vice president of the Commercial Lending Division at Bank of America, Maloney developed a strong financial and operational background that would later serve her well in distribution leadership. Her career also included time spent abroad in Singapore and Buenos Aires, where she managed her family’s expatriate life. That experience, she has noted, helped shape a broader worldview and an adaptable leadership approach. Though she was first introduced to the PHCP-PVF industry during her high school and college years, Maloney’s return to the channel was a deliberate one. She joined Coburn Supply in 2011, bringing with her a unique combination of financial expertise, global perspective, and an appreciation for the industry’s relationship-driven culture. Over the past decade, Maloney has built a reputation not only as a capable executive, but as a committed advocate for professional development and inclusion. Much of that work has been visible through her leadership within ASA’s Women in Industry Division. She served as vice chair from 2017 to 2018 and chair from 2019 to 2020, and she continues to play an active role as chairwoman of the group’s membership subcommittee. Her commitment to growth extends to her own career as well. In 2025, Maloney completed ASA University’s Master of Distribution Management program, a milestone that reflects both personal discipline and a belief in continuous learning. Beyond ASA, she has remained active across the broader industry, including leadership involvement with the Southern Wholesalers Association and participation in multiple women-focused professional groups. Those who have worked alongside Maloney often point to a leadership style that is as personal as it is effective. Colleagues describe her as someone who leads with intention while fostering an environment where others feel supported and seen. “This award recognizes Christy for more than professional excellence. It honors a woman who leads with heart,” one industry peer shared. “She brings joy into every room, makes others feel instantly welcome, and inspires women in leadership by the example she sets each day.” Another colleague echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the consistency of her approach over time. “From the first time I met her, she made me feel seen. Throughout the years, she has remained supportive, approachable, and a true advocate for women in our industry.” That ability to elevate others has become a defining characteristic of Maloney’s influence. While her professional accomplishments are significant, it is her authenticity, warmth, and commitment to mentorship that continue to resonate across the channel. Maloney was formally recognized during the ASA Women in Industry Division’s annual ELEVATE conference, held April 7–9, 2026, at the Westin Boston Seaport District. The event drew 400 attendees, including more than 170 first-time participants, underscoring the continued growth and momentum behind the initiative. The Woman of the Year Award itself carries deep historical significance. It is named in honor of Alice A. Martin of NIBCO, a pioneering leader and advocate for women in the industry. Martin, who served as president and cofounder of the Rex and Alice A. Martin Foundation, was also instrumental in establishing NIBCO’s Women’s Leadership Group and championing opportunities for women long before it became a broader industry focus. Past recipients of the Alice A. Martin Woman of the Year Award include: 2019 Ashley Martin (NIBCO), 2020 Katie Poehling Seymour (First Supply), 2021 Robyn Brookhart (Liberty Pumps), 2022 Suzanne Chreene (Delta Faucet), 2023 Karla Neupert Hockley (Consolidated Supply), 2024 Rebcca Falish (InSinkErator) and 2025 Michelle Lewnes-Dadas (Preferred Sales).
