Wednesday, March 4, 2026 / News ASA Opens 2026 Operating Performance Report for Data Submission The American Supply Association has officially opened data submission for its 2026 Operating Performance Report (OPR), reinforcing the report’s long-standing role as one of the PHCP-PVF industry’s most respected benchmarking resources. For decades, the OPR has delivered comprehensive analysis of financial performance metrics and operational benchmarks, equipping distributors with the insight needed to measure results, identify trends and sharpen strategic planning. More than a snapshot of performance, the report serves as a practical decision-making tool for leadership teams navigating a complex marketplace. Findings from the most recent report — based on fiscal year 2024 data — highlighted an industry continuing its post-pandemic recalibration. After back-to-back years of extraordinary double-digit growth in 2021 and 2022, market conditions moderated as companies adapted to a more balanced economic climate. While overall growth slowed, several sectors demonstrated notable resilience: Plumbing Supply Firms saw sales decline 1.0% in 2024, following a modest 0.3% decrease in 2023. PVF Firms posted 6.0% growth in 2024, down slightly from 7.0% the prior year. Plumbing Supply & PVF Firms recorded a 2.9% increase, improving on 2023’s 1.0% gain. HVAC & Other Firms achieved 3.9% growth in 2024, up from 1.9% in 2023. These results underscore a market that is stabilizing rather than retreating — with performance varying by segment but momentum remaining intact in key areas. Participation in the 2026 OPR is critical to ensuring the report continues to provide an accurate and actionable picture of industry performance. By contributing data, companies gain the ability to benchmark against peers, uncover operational efficiencies and make informed decisions that strengthen long-term competitiveness.
