We’re helping to make the world a
greener, cooler place to live

Water conservation has emerged as a top priority nationwide. Drought and a growing population continue to put heavy stress on water supplies. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. population has grown 90% in the last 50 years, while demand for water has risen 209%. A recent survey showed at least 36 U.S. states foresee local, statewide or regional water shortages by 2013.
Our industry is not only growing; it’s also getting greener. The products sold through plumbing, heating, cooling, and piping distributors are key to saving water and energy and protecting our nation’s way of life.
So join our industry, and you’ll be at the forefront of putting this green technology to work. Each and every day, you’ll be helping people do something positive for our environment.
Did you know?…
Daily indoor water use in the typical American single-family home is 74 gallons per person, with showers, water closets, baths, and faucets contributing more than 60% of that total.
If all U.S. households installed water-saving water closets, faucets and showers, as mandated by the Energy Policy Act of 1992, water use would drop by 30%, saving an estimated 5.4 billion gallons per day – or more than $4 billion annually.
Further savings are available by replacing out-of-date plumbing. The average American home loses ten gallons of water a day to plumbing-system leaks caused by old or poorly performing water closets, faucets, mixing valves and pipe fittings.
