ASA University is gearing up for another impactful Trainer's Best Practice Forum in 2023! In 2022, L&D professionals came together for our inaugural Trainer's Forum in an intimate, focused setting and it was a smash hit.

1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Opening Keynote Speaker: John Greco, ODEA Consulting
Building a Learning Culture
In this session, John will provide a deep dive into what exactly a "learning culture is, and how you can support growing a culture of learning at your organization. John will provide actionable strategies for culture-building actions, help attendees discover their sphere of influence, and sharpen participants' perspectives on opportunities to begin building the learning culture they want at their business. Participants will use a self-assessment to determine their current state of readiness for developing a learning culture at their organization to increase traction. 

3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Trainer's Networking Break
Light snacks and beverages will be served while attendees network and get to know each other better!

3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Trainer's Forum Great Ideas Roundtable Sessions
To begin, attendees will break into groups and work together to develop actionable solutions to some of the most frequently cited challenges that trainers face in their role. For the second half of the roundtable sessions, groups will be encouraged to "free talk" and explore any topic they choose with their peers. 

5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. -  Workforce Development Council Presentation
A brief overview of ASA's volunteer opportunities; Ruth Martin (F. W. Webb), past-Chairman and current member of the Workforce Development Council and Kamna Gupta (WinSupply), current member of the Workforce Development Council, will share their insights on being part of ASA's strategic vision for the future of education. Questions are encouraged!

Starting with the End in Mind: The Key to Measuring Training Effectiveness
Measuring the effectiveness of a training program is not only how you make sure your training is having an impact, but also key for getting support and resources from leadership. Measuring effectiveness is a notorious challenge for trainers. This session will help participants apply one of the most used forms of effectiveness measurement and show you how to help build measurement in your training.

During this session, you'll get a crash course in the latest and greatest tech tools in learning and development. Bring your laptop, tablet, or other device and explore/bookmark as we review the top tools you need in yoru arsenal!
