The reputation of ASA and its subsidiaries is built upon the principles of fair dealing and ethical conduct of our members, speakers, guests, and employees. Our reputation for integrity and excellence requires careful observance of the highest standards of conduct and personal integrity. ASA’s Event Code of Conduct applies to all association events and programs including regional, Women in Industry and Emerging Leaders programs, whether in person at public or private facilities, online, or during virtual events. ASA is committed to providing a productive and welcoming environment for all participants with all participants expected to abide by this code.

The Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion: to restrict activities, conduct, or behavior of members, service providers, guests and staff and others that is deemed objectionable; to remove any attendee from the meeting or event and deny them re-admission for conduct that is deemed objectionable; and to restrict and/or close exhibits that are deemed objectionable. This includes people, things, conduct, printed or electronic matter or anything of a character that is deemed not to be in the best interests of the Association.

The following guidelines are expectations for participating in and carrying out business on behalf of the Association.

  • Interact with respect, courtesy, and consideration, creating the space for everyone to actively contribute.
  • Avoid demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing communication (both spoken and written) behavior and materials.
  • Protect confidential organizational information from inappropriate use or misappropriation.
  • Avoid activities that deter attendance by registrants at all event activities.
  • Comply with all laws, rules, and regulations.
