The SWPD Awards & Recognition Dinner has been an annual tradition for nearly 60 years. Each year members hold this annual dinner to recognize and honor several individuals of the region who have distinguished themselves for their leadership and outstanding work toward advancing the industry. (Past recipients of special recognition have been Gary Grosslight (Ferguson), Brad Zarbock (Hajoca)), Dan Patrick (Todd Pipe) and Greg Goatcher (Winsupply).

Individual Rate (includes cocktail reception and dinner): $95 for ASA Members; $150 for non-ASA members

After a successful 2018 under the leadership of the American Supply Association, our region experienced some exciting changes which included a strong Leadership Conference that offered attendees an expanded program from past events. This year, based on survey responses from our membership, we are extremely excited to offer an all new Leadership Conference experience that features more educational programs from four top speakers, a dynamic group networking dinner and a new venue to facilitate this exciting program. To make things even more exciting, we have moved up our program earlier in the year…all based on what you have told us.

Dynamic Conference Presenters

Negotiate Like a Girl

Amy Trask

Amy Trask joined CBS Sports Network in 2013 as a studio analyst on THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW. She also serves as a panelist on WE NEED TO TALK, the first-ever nationally televised all-female sports show and contributes to THE NFL TODAY on CBS.

Prior to joining CBS, Trask was one of the highest-ranking women in American professional sports, serving as CEO of the Oakland Raiders from 1997 until 2013.

In all, she spent over 26 years with the Raiders organization where she became the NFL’s first female front-office executive and primarily served as Al Davis’ most trusted advisor. As CEO, Amy was in charge of all non-football operations for the team and oversaw everything from sponsorships to TV contracts to stadium rights, and represented the organization at league meetings. Under her watch, the Raiders won four Division Championships (1990, 2000, 2001 and 2002) and one AFC Championship (2002).

Trask is a graduate of the University of California. She and her husband reside in Los Angeles, Calif.

This session is geared toward those responsible for success and profit of running a smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Based on the highly successful ASAU program “Essentials of Profitable Warehouse Operations” Jason will guide attendees through how to improve your operational efficiencies of stocking, order fulfillment, stocking picking, loading and shipping, risk management team dynamic and other factors that impact profitable warehouse operations.

While the U.S. Economy strengthened in 2018, a great deal of uncertainty if facing us in 2019 with trade wars heating up and a the impact from last Novembers election impacting policies coming out of Washington, gaining insight and a stronger ability to navigate market and economic trends can increase your competitive advantages. In this session, ASA Economist Dr Chris Kuehl will discuss where the U.S. economy is heading, the trends to watch and the steps you should be taking to take full advantage of this unprecedented economy.
