  • DOE Proposes Not to Revise Standards for Unfired Hot Water Storage Tanks - After carefully considering the available market and technical information for unfired hot water storage tanks (UFHWSTs), DOE has tentatively concluded in this document that it lacks clear and convincing evidence that more-stringent standards for UFHWSTs would save a significant additional amount of energy and would be economically justified. As such, DOE has initially determined that energy conservation standards for UFHWSTs do not need to be amended. DOE requests comment on this notification of proposed determination (NOPD), as well as the associated analyses and results.
  • The 2021 Spring Code Hearings are complete. ASA was present as the voice of our members and the industry promoting our positions throughout the process. The work done during these hearings sets the foundation for the changes to the model codes that will be published in 2024. To see the results of the hearings click on the Plumbing System or Mechanical Sy stem icons in the sidebars.

On a weekly basis ASA publishes information on national standards out for public review. This is your opportunity to comment and have a direct impact on those standards.
