  • Energy Efficiency and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Framework: The International Code Council released a new framework to assist governments and building industry stakeholders in meeting energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction goals.   • Iowa Plumbing Code: Iowa has announced proposed changes to the Iowa Plumbing Code which, in general, would adopt the Uniform Plumbing Code - 2021. However, specific sections of the UPC - 2021 are proposed to be revised in the Iowa Plumbing Code. The ASA Plumbing Fixture & Appliance Code Committee and the ASA Mechanical Code Committee are currently reviewing the proposed changes to determine if ASA should submit comments.
  • ICC Publishes Proposed Changes to the 2021 ICC International Codes: On March 1, 2021, the International Code Council published the proposed changes to the following 2021 model codes: building, plumbing, mechanical, fire and residential. ASA Code Committees are in the process of developing ASA positions on the proposed changes in preparation for the April 2021 hearings.
