- OSHA Reminder on Exposure to CO from Portable Generators and Other Equipment: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is reminding employers to take necessary precautions to protect workers from the serious and potentially fatal effects of carbon monoxide exposure. Recent incidents highlight the need to educate employers and employees about the dangers of carbon monoxide exposure from portable generators and other equipment in enclosed spaces.
- OSHA Publishes Set of FAQs on the “Silica Rule”: On January 22nd the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to provide guidance to general industry employers on application of OSHA’s final rule regulating occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica in general industry (the “silica rule). Read the FAQs and a brief summary of the FAQs.

- New Deadline for 300A Reporting: The 2019 reporting deadline for submitting OSHA Form 300A, Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses is March 2nd. Establishments with 20-249 employees in certain high-risk industries fall under the new deadline date and wholesaling, manufacturing and construction are considered high-risk industries.
