The resulting report is typically available within three business days of the participation deadline, and it is available to all ASA vendor members and only to those wholesaler-distributor members that contribute data for a given month. The report breaks down the data across different sales volumes, industry segments, regions and specific state/metropolitan market areas for which there is sufficient number of respondents. Therefore, the value of this report is directly related to the number of wholesaler firms that contribute data each month - the greater the number of respondents, the more comprehensive and useful is the report and accompanying analysis.
WHOLESALER DATA IS MAINTAINED CONFIDENTIAL. ASA partners with Industry Insights, Inc., an objective, third-party research company that specializes in this type of survey, as well as ASA’s annual Operating Performance Report and Business Valuation Appraisal, to collect and compile the results of the survey each month. Industry Insightsuses a128-bit SSL secure web address to collect the survey data from participants. No ASA staff member nor any company or individual inside or outside the industry, nor anyone else other than a select few Industry Insights, Inc. associates will ever see any individual firm’s confidential information. All data is only reported in aggregate form.
