IPD Award of Excellence

CRITERIA
To be eligible for consideration, nominated individual must be currently employed by a member of ASA’s Industrial Piping Division with a long-standing history of service in the Industrial and/or Mechanical PVF industry. Wholesalers, manufacturers, manufacturers reps, master distributors and service vendors are eligible to receive the award.
The IPD member individual being considered for the award should have a record of significant accomplishment/recognition in the PVF industry, including, but not limited to:
- Overall influence on the current status of the channel
- A history of dedicated service to the American Supply Association’s Industrial Piping Division
- Active participant in Division’s activities
- Recognized for projecting a positive industry image
- Responsible for positively affecting the industry in general
Special consideration may be made by the IPD Award Nomination Committee for nominations of individuals formerly employed by a past or current member of ASA’s Industrial Piping Division who fit all other criteria stated.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations may be accepted from any ASA IPD member in good standing, and should be cast in writing using the formal IPD Award Ballot, which details the ways in which the nominee has met the criteria. The Division will solicit nominations from the IPD membership and will provide both a detailed listing of the eligibility/criteria as well as a formal nomination ballot. The IPD Award Nominating Committing shall review all submissions and recommend nominees for consideration when they see fit to the IPD Executive Council who makes all final decisions. At such time the IPD Executive Council selects an IPD Award of Excellence recipient, all submissions received up until that date may not be considered for future nominations. The nomination process will be repeated to solicit new nominations from the Division at-large.
NOMINATION COMMITTEE
The IPD Award Nomination Committee will be determined and made up of members of the ASA IPD Executive Council. The Nomination Committee shall review all nominations and recommend nominees (majority rules) to the IPD Executive Council for consideration and final decision (majority rules). The IPD Executive Committee will ultimately be responsible for deciding when to bestow the award.
FREQUENCY
The IPD Award will be presented no more than once a year at the IPD Membership Breakfast during ASA’s Annual Convention.
